About the CompanyEuropa School of English runs fun and entertaining summer camps for European students visiting the UK on language holidays. UK centres for 2025 will run in Bournemouth, Exeter, Winchester, Southend-on-Sea, and Bishop s Stortford. Students aged 11 to 17 travel to our centres in the UK and participate in lessons in the mornings, with trips and activities in the afternoons and evenings.
Students stay in residential accommodation on site.
The role of a Residential EFL Trip Teacher is to immerse themselves in the complete student experience, delivering English lessons in the mornings and accompanying students on half and full-day trips with set guided tours as part of their learning journey. The position focuses on educational responsibilities and the cultural development of students by supporting them as they explore the area.
It is essential to ensure the well-being and diligent supervision of students, adhering to company policies. Lessons must be conducted in accordance with established policies, procedures and high standards set forth by the British Council.
- Minimum 2 weeks’ availability (preferably more) – specific dates available during interview:
- From 06/07/2026 until 28/08/2026 (Bournemouth)
- From 06/07/2026 until 14/08/2026 (Winchester)
- From 06/07/2026 until 31/07/2026 (Exeter)
- From 06/07/2026 until 31/07/2026 (Southend-on-Sea)
- Currently living in UK and/or eligible to work in UK
- University degree and a level 5 (Ofqual-accredited) TEFL qualification, preferably CELTA or TRINITY
- Experience and interest in working with children; outgoing personality with the ability to lead and motivate young people
- 2 up-to-date references (to be checked)
- Safeguarding training (provided by us)
- DBS certificate or police clearance (not older than 1 year) - paid for by us if not available
- First Aid Certificate (8 hours, not older than 2 years)
- Good organisational and time-management skills; ability to work independently and under pressure
- Sporty or creative, reliable, flexible and open-minded
- Teach English in line with our syllabus (4 lessons per day from Monday to Friday: 00-10:15, 10:45-12:30)
- Prepare classes for different levels and manage your groups effectively
- Plan and deliver fun and appropriate lessons using the Europa School of English syllabus, schemes of work, and supplementary materials
- Keep accurate records of your lessons
- Manage student attendance via the app
- Attend the paid online induction and training sessions before starting
- Participate in weekly teacher meetings during break time
- Take part in teacher observations and feedback sessions with Teaching Coordinators
- Engage in continuing professional development sessions
- Familiarise yourself with company policies and safeguarding procedures
- Evaluate students language knowledge and advise on self-improvement
- Reflect on the school syllabus for developmental purposes
- Aware of issues in teaching English to young learners
- Report student issues (complaints, damage) to the Teaching Coordinator
- Accompany and supervise students during guided tours
- 2 full-day trips on Saturday/Sunday
- 1 full-day trip on Saturday/Sunday and 2 afternoon half-day trips during the week
- Support the team with other relevant tasks
- Participate in activity team meetings as needed
- 450 GBP weekly
- Travel expenses may be paid, depending on location
- Free tea, coffee and refreshments during break times
- Full-board accommodation in the language course centre for the duration of the contract
