Camp Counselor

YMCA Camp Takodah, located in Richmond, NH, is a premiere New England summer camp that offers programs for boys+ and girls+ campers ages 8-17. Guided by the “Friendly to All” motto and core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, Camp Takodah aims to bring out the best in children. Through rich traditions, a supportive environment, and diverse activities, children are empowered to build character, confidence, and lifelong friendships.

Role Description

This is a seasonal full-time on-site role based in Richmond, NH, serving as a Cabin Leader at YMCA Camp Takodah. Cabin Leaders are responsible for supervising and mentoring a group of campers throughout their camp experience, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and positive atmosphere. Primary duties include leading classes in one of our six program areas, fostering a sense of belonging within the cabin, acting as a role model to campers and peers, and maintaining safety standards.

Cabin Leaders will play a key role in encouraging campers’ personal growth.
