Our client, a well-established and growing organisation within the manufacturing sector, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Assistant to support their UK operations team. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative and coordination skills who is looking to develop their career within operations, warehouse coordination, and logistics. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate stock information, smooth warehouse processes, and timely delivery updates.
Key Responsibilities Operational & Estimation Support- Provide accurate stock availability and standard lead time information to internal teams.
- Assist with preparing packing specifications, including dimensions and weight details.
- Update order tracking information and maintain accurate status records.
- Maintain logs of internal queries and follow up as required.
- Liaise with warehouse personnel to obtain product or stock information.
- Escalate complex operational queries to senior team members where necessary.
- Support Goods In and Goods Out documentation processes.
- Maintain accurate stock and dispatch information within internal systems.
- Assist with monitoring daily warehouse activity and task completion.
- Track shipments and provide delivery updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Help manage documentation relating to returns, damages, and replacements.
- Ensure accurate data entry within ERP and internal systems.
- Maintain organised digital and physical records.
- Assist in preparing daily and weekly operational reports.
- Follow established operational procedures and compliance standards.
- Act as a coordination point between warehouse and office-based teams.
- Proactively follow up on outstanding actions.
- Report delays, discrepancies, or stock issues promptly.
- Participate in ongoing training to develop operational knowledge.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Outlook).
- Previous experience in an operations, logistics, warehouse support, or administrative role preferred.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
- Experience using ERP systems (e.g., Business Central or similar) would be advantageous.
