Overview

The Head and Neck department is seeking an enthusiastic Admissions Coordinator to primarily support the daily running of ENT admissions. The successful candidate will provide and manage an efficient and effective administration service. This role is situated within the Head and Neck department and will work closely with consultants, doctors and clinical staff to ensure the smooth running of services across the Trust.

The ENT department provides services across all of the Trust's sites:
Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Andover War Memorial Hospital and Alton Hospital. Our unit in Winchester Hospital provides outpatient, day case and elective services to our patients. Further information about the Trust and this role can be found in the Job Description and Person Specification document attached.

Responsibilities
  • Support the daily running of ENT admissions and provide an efficient administration service.
  • Liaise with patients and clinicians to ensure the waiting list is accurate and theatre lists are booked to capacity.
  • Work autonomously or as part of a team to manage workload and prioritise tasks.
  • Maintain knowledge of RTT and the 18 week pathway to support appointment planning and throughput.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Excellent communication and office management skills.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise daily workload autonomously or as part of a team.
  • Enthusiastic, motivated and experienced in administration.
  • Knowledge of RTT.
  • Knowledge of the 18 week pathway.
