• Provides occupational therapy services to patients needing to develop, recover, and maintain occupational skills.
• Assesses patient's ability to safely and effectively perform occupational skills.
• Designs the appropriate plan of care, including type and frequency of treatment.
• Implements the treatment plan using appropriate modalities.
• Documents subjective and objective findings of patient progress.
• Monitors and modifies the plan of care as needed.
• Seeks consultation as necessary.
• Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
• Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting.
• Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.
• Supervises and delegates the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians according to established licensing laws, state regulations, and practice standards.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy (required).
• License:
  Tennessee State Licensure for Occupational Therapy.
• Certifications:
  
  Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

Highpoint Health – Winchester with Ascension Saint Thomas and Highpoint Health – Sewanee with Ascension Saint Thomas serve the communities of Southern Middle Tennessee with comprehensive, high‑quality care. The Winchester campus is a 157‑bed facility featuring 131 licensed acute care beds and 26 skilled nursing home beds, fully accredited by The Joint Commission and offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including an Intensive Care Unit, Geriatric Psychiatry Unit, Acute Inpatient Physical Rehabilitation Unit, Skilled Nursing Unit, Sleep Lab, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, five Operating Rooms, and two Endoscopy Suites.

Diagnostic imaging services include MRI, CT, PET/CT, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, and X‑ray. The 13‑bay Emergency Department sees more than 15,000 patient visits annually.

Sewanee campus is a 41‑bed facility offering 21 general acute care beds and 20 skilled nursing beds, with a 4‑bay Emergency Department treating more than 5,000 patients each year. Known for individualized care and strong community connections, the Sewanee campus provides high‑quality healthcare in a collaborative, compassionate setting.
