Job Description for Registered Nurse - Postpartum at Winchester, Massachusetts

Shift: Day (7:00AM
-7:00PM)
Minimum Experience: 1 year of postpartum nursing experience preferred
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to postpartum mothers and their newborns, promoting maternal and infant well-being.
- Educate new mothers on newborn care, breastfeeding techniques, postpartum recovery, and family planning options.
- Assist with newborn assessments, including monitoring for signs of jaundice, feeding difficulties, and congenital anomalies.
- Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and blood products as prescribed by physicians.
- Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and regulatory standards related to postpartum care and patient safety.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in postpartum nursing preferred.
- Knowledge of postpartum assessment, breastfeeding support, and newborn care techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
