SENIOR CITIZEN TAX COMMITTEE - VOLUNTEER
In May of 1999 the Winchester Town Meeting established a special taxation fund to assist low‑income elderly and disabled persons in meeting their property tax obligations. The Fund is administered by a citizens committee made up of the Chairman of the Board of Assessors, the Town Treasurer, and three residents appointed by the Select Board.
Open Position: One member, term to expire March 31, 2029.
Responsibilities:
- Review applicants to determine financial need.
- Assist low‑income elderly and disabled persons in meeting their property tax obligations.
Qualifications: Applicants must be Winchester residents.
How to Apply: Letters of interest, resume, and Volunteer Application may be mailed to Town Hall, 71 Mt. Vernon Street, Winchester, MA 01890 or submitted by e‑mail to pmihelich by March 16, 2026.
