Clark Regional Medical Center
Responsibilities- Under the supervision of an RN, performs telemetry monitoring
- Reports to Director of Inpatient Services
- Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors.
- Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately. Identifies and corrects for artifacts.
- Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff
- Tests equipment for proper working order. Reports equipment problems to supervisor
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent, required
- State Registered Nurse Aide, preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant, preferred
License/
Certifications:
- Ability to pass Cardiac Telemetry Examination upon hire
- Successfully complete Cardiac Telemetry Certification Course within 6 months of hire date
