Respiratory Therapist – PRN

Overview

Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester an 18 minute drive from Lexington, KY is searching for a Respiratory Therapist to join our hospital and work within our Radiology department. This is a variable PRN position and you would be a member of a highly skilled and professional team of Respiratory Therapists, RNs, Rad Techs, CT Techs, ultrasound techs, echo techs, and more.

Your current state licensure for CRTT or RTT, educational program completion of an accredited respiratory care program, and current BLS certification are the minimum requirements.

• Providing respiratory therapeutics and cardiopulmonary diagnostics to all age groups according to established guidelines, policies and procedures
• Utilizing assessment, intervention and evaluation to plan appropriate age specific care to inpatients and outpatients
• Participating with other healthcare providers to ensure plan of care is interdisciplinary and the customers are educated appropriately

Requirements

• High school graduate required
• Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program
• Current State licensure for CRTT or RTT
• ACLS, PALS and NRP or within 6 months of hire date
• 1 year experience as a respiratory therapist
• Experience with critical care patients, ventilators, ABG interpretation, PFT performance, and Stress Tests preferred
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
