Assistant Store Manager - 32 Hour Permanent Contract

Assistant Store Managers are part of the Store Management team, helping to drive profitability, achieve KPI targets, support store operations and develop staff. This role is an excellent stepping stone in retail career development.
Responsibilities- Assist the Store Manager in creating a service culture that puts the customer at the heart of everything.
- Enable the store team to recommend additional services and drive omni‑channel selling.
- Support recruiting and build a diverse, passionate team.
- Drive store sales, profitability and KPI achievement.
- Coaches and develops the store team through regular one‑to‑one sessions and development plans.
- Communicate store performance to the team and stakeholders; provide feedback and highlight risks and opportunities.
- Implement visual merchandising, window standards and product information to maximise commercial opportunities.
- Manage stock, loss prevention, escalation reporting, health, safety, GDPR, cash handling and key‑holder responsibilities.
- Act as key‑holder and run the store when required.
- Previous experience leading a team at supervisor level or above, preferably in retail.
- Strong retail skills, product knowledge and commercial awareness.
- Excellent communicator who builds a culture of trust.
- Proactive problem‑solving and innovative thinking.
- Salary of £22,800.
