Personal Tax Consultant

Location:

Wimborne, Dorset (Relocation Welcome) Salary: £34,000 – £38,000 (DOE) Join a Top 100 Accountancy Firm

What You’ll Be Doing

Managing your own portfolio of individuals, HNWIs, landlords, sole traders, and more

Preparing personal tax returns with accuracy and efficiency in a high‑volume environment

Providing expert tax advice on CGT, residency, foreign income, buy‑to‑let, and other advisory areas

Acting as a trusted advisor, liaising with clients and HMRC

Handling tax enquiries and resolving client queries with confidence

What We’re Looking For

Minimum two years’ experience in a personal tax role within practice

Strong understanding of UK personal tax compliance

Exposure to advisory areas such as CGT, BTL, EMI shares, and sole traders

Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills

Commercial awareness and a client‑first mindset

Proficiency with tax software (ideally IRIS) and Microsoft Office

Preferred (Not Essential)

ATT qualified or part‑qualified (CTA also welcomed)

Experience with Trusts

Experience mentoring junior colleagues

Experience valued over formal qualifications — talent and capability matter most
