We are looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented Senior Tax Consultant to join our busy Personal Tax team in Wimborne. This is a chance to become an integral part of a team where you'll work across a large and varied client base, providing both tax compliance and advisory services. You’ll be at the heart of our client relationships, helping individuals navigate their personal taxes whilst providing a 5‑star service.
YourImpact
Own your client portfolio:
Prepare a diverse range of personal tax returns for a varied client base, including individuals, HNWI, sole traders and landlords. You will work towards building and managing your own portfolio.
Provide expert advice:
Get hands‑on by assisting clients with tailored advice across key areas like buy‑to‑let properties, foreign income, residency, and Capital Gains Tax.
Be a trusted advisor:
Serve as a key point of contact for clients and HMRC, leading tax enquiries and queries.
Master compliance:
The core focus of this role is the accurate preparation of Self‑Assessment Tax Returns.
- You should have at least two years of experience in a personal tax role within a practice.
- Solid working knowledge of UK personal tax compliance.
- Exposure to Tax Advisory services (CGT, BTL, EMI Shares, Sole Traders).
- Able to think commerically.
- Always looking to go above and beyond to Put Clients First.
- Proficiency with tax software (preferably IRIS) and Microsoft Office is essential.
- We are seeking someone with excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a proactive attitude who is eager to grow.
- ATT Qualification or part qualified (CTA is also welcomed).
- Experience with Trusts.
- Experience mentoring junior members of staff.
