Specialist Teaching Assistant

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist Teaching Assistant to support children and young people aged 3-18 with a range of Special Educational Needs
. This is a full-time position with an immediate start
, working 8.45am to 3.30pm
, Monday to Friday. You will be joining a highly respected specialist education setting set within spacious, peaceful grounds. The school is widely recognised for:

Pupils have a variety of Special Educational Needs
, including:
Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Severe and complex learning difficulties, Communication and sensory processing needs and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs

• Provide 1:1 and small group support
• Assist pupils with learning, personal development and daily routines
• Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff

• Minimum 6 months childcare experience, especially supporting children with SEN needs
• Experience with in specialist or SEN settings is highly desirable
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle due to the school's location
