Senior Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Teaching Assistant to support students aged 16-18 within a specialist further education setting. This is a full-time role with an immediate start
, working 8.45am to 3.30pm
, Monday to Friday. You will be working in an outstanding specialist college set within spacious, peaceful surroundings.

Learners have a range of Special Educational Needs
, including:
Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Communication and sensory processing difficulties and Associated learning and developmental needs

• advanced classroom and pastoral support
• Mentor and guide students towards independence and employability skills
• Support learning programmes and lead small group activities
• Work closely with teaching staff and external professionals

• Minimum 6 months childcare experience
  , particularly supporting young people with SEN needs
• Experience in senior or specialist TA roles is highly desirable
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle due to the rural location
• A calm, confident and proactive approach
