Classroom Assistant

We are looking for a caring and reliable Classroom Assistant to support students aged 16-18 within a specialist further education setting. This is a full-time position with an immediate start
, working 8.45am to 3.30pm
, Monday to Friday.

You will be working in a highly respected specialist college set in spacious, peaceful surroundings. The setting is known for:

Learners have a range of Special Educational Needs
, including:
Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Communication and sensory processing difficulties and Associated learning and developmental needs

• Support students in class and during practical activities
• Assist with learning tasks, routines and emotional regulation
• Encourage independence, confidence and engagement
• Work closely with teachers and support staff

• Minimum 6 months childcare experience
  , especially supporting young people with SEN needs
• Experience in SEN or specialist settings is highly desirable
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle due to the rural location
• A patient, dependable and proactive approach
