Bayley & Sage is growing, and we currently have an opportunity for a Warehouse Assistant.

As a member of the Distribution Centre Team, you will participate in daily operations, carrying all the tasks as delegated by the Distribution Centre Manager.

• Responsible for receiving and unloading deliveries quickly and safely
• Responsible for ensuring deliveries are checked in according to company policy, and putting them away quickly and efficiently
• Responsible for rotating stock according to FIFO, checking the quality of fresh food and reporting items for wastage to DC Manager
• Responsible for organising the warehouse according to the established system so that items are easy to find for picking and dispatch to include correct labelling
• Responsible for picking and packing deliveries for dispatch according to instructions given by DC Manager ensuring items are labelled accurately
• Responsible for delivering outstanding customer service to all suppliers and staff of Bayley & Sage.
• Responsible for keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and free of hazards
• Responsible for following all Health and Safety guidelines as directed by DC Manager

• You will be a hard worker, willing to roll your sleeves up and get on with the job  are looking for a long-term position and have a positive, 'can-do' attitude.
• You will be physically capable as heavy lifting is involved in the day-to-day role.
• You will be available to work across 7 days as our business is open 7 days a week.
• To be successful in this role you will need a strong work ethic, attention to details, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and as part of a team.
• Ultimately, you are passionate about delivering great service on time and with a smile.
• Desirable:
  Valid UK driving licence
