What You'll Be Doing
- Financial & Stock Planning: Plan and manage the OTB and stock pipeline to deliver key financial KPIs, including stock turn, margin, and sales.
- Strategic Trading: Accountable for the financial performance of stock, constantly challenging the status quo to maximise cash income and ensure efficient use of company capital.
- Team & Supply Chain Management: Lead, develop, and manage the Merchandising Team. Oversee the entire intake process from FOB to domestic and work with Logistics to develop throughput and capacity plans.
- Retail Optimisation: Work with the Head of Commercial, Store Operations, and Space Planning to develop store range bandings and proactively challenge stock allocation to maximise profit and sales density.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Buying, Finance, Marketing, and E-Commerce teams to align stock management with trading calendars and promotional activity.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience as a senior, multi-site Merchandiser trading a large product range.
- Strong understanding of Multi-channel Convenience Retailing with a track record in High Street Retailing.
- Demonstrable experience in financial management of OTB and robust Stock control.
- A pragmatic, aggressive trader who is also an astute manager, capable of taking measured risks while delivering to agreed financial plans.
- Previous experience in space planning, planogram management, and FOB stock management.
- High numeracy, quick analytical skills, and a high attention to detail.
- Generous Leave: 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Colleague Discount: Generous discount across all Theo Paphitis retail businesses (Robert Dyas, Ryman, Boux Avenue, London Graphic Centre).
- Rewards: Bonus incentives to share in the company's success and regular sample sales.
- Wellbeing: A pension scheme, free life assurance (after qualifying period), and a dedicated colleagues wellbeing and mental health programme.
- Development: Investment in learning and development and clear paths for succession.
