A well-established and growing aerospace engineering manufacturer is seeking a detail-driven Quality Inspector to join their quality team. This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring all incoming, in-process, and finished components meet strict aerospace and customer quality standards. The Role
As a Quality Inspector, you'll play a key role in maintaining product quality through precise inspection processes and collaboration with engineering and production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out First Off, In-Process, Goods Inwards, and Final Inspections against engineering drawings and specifications
Perform inspections using precision metrology equipment, including CMMs, micrometers, vernier callipers, and surface finish measurement tools
Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) using quality software, recording dimensional and process data
Inspect outgoing components, ensuring all quality documentation and dimensional requirements are fully met
Work closely with Engineering and Production teams to identify root causes and support corrective actions (RCCA)
Maintain accurate inspection records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Manage calibration activities, including gauge maintenance, ordering, and record keeping
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of surface finishes, including anodising, painting, and coating standards
Proven experience using metrology and inspection equipment, including CMM and precision gauges
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
Experience working to AS9100 or similar quality standards
Confident using Microsoft Office, with exposure to CAD software such as Solid Works beneficial
