Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting & Finance

Location: Chippenham (3 days office / 2 days remote)Reporting to: Senior Finance Leadership

Join a fast-growing veterinary group in a varied, hands-on finance role where no two days are the same. You'll split your time between daily bookkeeping & month-end accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Process invoices, expenses, credit cards, & purchase orders
• Bank, merchant, petty cash reconciliations
• Maintain ledgers
• Manage AP cycles & payments
• Turn imperfect inputs into accurate outputs
• Prepare journals (accruals, prepayments, deferred income, stock, depreciation)
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts & investigate anomalies
• Produce management accounts components
• Monitor short-term cashflows & flag pressure points
• Support a systems migration
• Assist with data mapping, testing, & validation
• Maintain consistent coding, controls, & documentation
• Identify opportunities for automation

You'll Thrive If You Are

• Ideally ACCA/ CIMA newly qualified/ passed finalist or still studying ACCA/CIMA
• Hands on with transactional/ bookkeeping experience
• Strong with Excel & confident adopting new systems
• Comfortable doing both processing & accounting
• Strong month-end experience & reconciliation skills
• An excellent communicator
• Skilled at extracting missing information with clarity & tact
• Detail-driven & confident
• Comfortable with change as systems & processes evolve
• Someone who likes to get out & about occasionally
