Financial Controller - Nova Motorsport

Location: Westbury, UK (office-based)

Travel: Monthly travel to Portugal required

Nova Motorsport is part of the SPC Group and operates within the specialist motor sport tyre manufacturing sector. Following recent investment and growth, including expansion into Europe, we are now seeking an experienced and commercially minded Financial Controller to lead the finance function for our motor sport business.

This is a senior, hands-on role working closely with the Managing Director and Group Finance, with responsibility for both the UK and Portuguese operations.

A passion for motor sport and an interest in manufacturing environments would be a strong advantage for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Full ownership of the finance function for Nova Motorsport (UK and Portugal)
• Production of monthly management accounts for both entities
• Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management
• Leadership and development of a finance team of 5 staff
• Overseeing statutory accounts, audits and tax compliance
• Managing intercompany transactions between UK and Portugal
• Supporting manufacturing operations with financial and commercial insight
• Implementing and improving financial controls and reporting processes
• Supporting business growth in the motor sport tyre market
• Working closely with Group Finance and senior management

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role
• Manufacturing or production environment experience preferred
• Experience managing and developing a finance team
• Strong technical accounting and commercial finance skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing business
• Willing and able to travel to Portugal monthly
• Passion for motor sport or automotive industries is an advantage
• Experience working with overseas entities is highly desirable
• Portuguese language skills would be an advantage but are not essential
• ACCA / CIMA / ACA qualified (or equivalent)
