To lead and deliver drainage engineering, surface water management and SuDS advisory work, acting as a technical specialist for flood risk, highway drainage, and development control. The postholder will design and review sustainable drainage solutions, manage flood risk assets, ensure statutory compliance as the Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA), and support resilient, climate-adaptive infrastructure.

Flood Risk & Incident Management

Support the flood incident response plan ; investigate flood incidents under Section 19 and produce reports with remedial actions.
Develop and deliver maintenance regimes for critical drainage assets and hotspots; prioritise interventions based on risk.
Coordinate with residents, local businesses, and Members on drainage concerns and mitigation options

Working hours:

37 hours a week min
Monday to Friday
