The Role

• Teaching Biology across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 expected
• Leading and managing the Biology provision within the Science department
• Driving high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment in Biology
• Overseeing curriculum development and examination performance
• Supporting and mentoring colleagues within the department
• Contributing to whole‑school initiatives and academic enrichment

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• A degree in Biology or a closely related subject
• Proven experience teaching Biology at secondary level, including KS5
• Previous leadership experience or readiness to step into a Head of Biology role
• A strong track record of raising attainment and improving outcomes
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
