Role and responsibilitiesThe Production Engineer supports manufacturing operations by assisting in process development, documentation, and quality improvement initiatives to support both New Product Introductions (NPI) and volume production. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early‑career engineers eager to contribute to new product introductions and continuous improvement projects in a collaborative, dynamic environment.
Process Optimization & Continuous ImprovementCollect and analyze SPC data to monitor process stability.
Support process improvement initiatives for volume products, including cycle time and labor hour reduction.
Participate in quality and lean projects.
Assist in developing and updating manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and routing documentation.
Maintain process documentation and production sequences.
Participate in Engineering Change Notice (ECN) reviews and provide factory input.
Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Contribute to new product introduction activities within a concurrent engineering environment.
Support in design reviews, PFMEAs, and manufacturability assessments.
Support production tooling and qualification tests.
Provide technical support assisting First Line Support (FLS) for production issues, including troubleshooting modules and driving to root cause resolution.
Evaluate and disposition parts with quality issues, review failure analysis reports, and validate root causes.
Provide necessary data for implementing corrective actions and RCA investigations.
Participate in DRB/MRB to drive structural solutions.
Assist in equipment calibration, upkeep, and procurement for manufacturing instruments.
Interface with internal teams and external customers regarding assembly testing of components and final products.
Document results, write procedures, and support qualification plans.
Work independently or as part of a team to follow through on assignments.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field) required.
0–2 years in manufacturing or engineering environment (internship experience preferred).
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and quality principles.
Strong willingness to learn and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
Familiarity with CAD tools (Solid Works, AutoCAD, NX).
Knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, assembly, automation).
Understanding of SPC, data analysis, and Lean/Six Sigma principles.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
Can work according to safety standards and quality compliance requirements.
Basic troubleshooting skills for production equipment and processes.
