Toddler Head Teacher

Strong Start Early Care & Education in Wilton is seeking an experienced and passionate Toddler Head Teacher to join our program. This is a full-time, in-person position for an early childhood professional in the Danbury, Wilton, and Norwalk area who is dedicated to creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for toddlers.

Pay:
Hourly pay range of $24 to $27 per hour , based on experience, education, and role fit, with opportunities for growth and merit increases.

• Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum aligned with CT Early Learning Standards
• Create and maintain a consistent daily schedule of classroom activities
• Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
• Supervise and support Assistant Teachers in the toddler classroom
• Balance cognitive, social, emotional, and creative learning experiences
• Observe and document children's development and learning progress
• Address behavioral concerns using positive guidance strategies
• Communicate regularly with parents through daily updates and conferences
• Promote positive peer interactions and classroom community
• Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and best practices
• Ensure compliance with all center policies, state regulations, and NAEYC standards

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare or daycare setting
• Strong understanding of toddler development
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Patient, flexible, and nurturing teaching style
