Accounting Assistant

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Assistant to join our team in Wilton, Connecticut. This Contract to permanent position offers a dynamic opportunity for individuals who excel in managing financial transactions and ensuring accurate record-keeping. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting practices and a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

- Manage accounts payable processes, including coding and processing invoices efficiently.

- Oversee accounts receivable activities, ensuring timely invoicing and payment collection.

- Perform accurate bank reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.

- Utilize Quick Books to track and organize financial data effectively.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and procedures in daily tasks.

- Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies in financial records.

- Prepare and maintain detailed financial reports as required.

- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation for review.

- Support month-end and year-end closing processes. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in accounts payable and receivable.

- Proficiency in Quick Books and familiarity with other accounting software.

- Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation processes.

- Ability to code and process invoices with accuracy.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with internal teams.

- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
