This position requires deep knowledge of plumbing engineering principles, proficiency in Revit and CAD platforms, and the ability to manage project timelines from concept through construction. Candidates must be comfortable leading coordination efforts and serving as a technical point of contact for multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct plumbing design efforts for multi-family residential, mixed-use, commercial, and high-rise developments in Wilton Manors, FL.
- Produce detailed plumbing construction drawings, riser diagrams, system layouts, and equipment schedules using Revit and CAD software.
- Perform hydraulic calculations, system sizing, and code compliance reviews to ensure efficient and accurate designs.
- Oversee project execution, including scheduling, technical review, and quality control of deliverables.
- Coordinate closely with mechanical, electrical, architectural, and structural teams to align system integration.
- Support construction-phase services such as reviewing RFIs, evaluating submittals, and addressing field conditions.
- Ensure adherence to IPC, UPC, and all applicable Florida and local Wilton Manors building regulations.
- Communicate directly with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to maintain alignment throughout project milestones.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and provide technical guidance when required.
- 5-10 years of progressive plumbing engineering experience in residential and commercial real estate projects, including high-rise developments.
- Demonstrated experience at an MEP consulting engineering firm.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and CAD-based design tools is required.
- Strong understanding of plumbing codes, permitting standards, and building system coordination.
- Proven ability to manage projects, prioritize deadlines, and lead cross-functional engineering efforts.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- EIT certification required; PE license preferred or actively pursuing licensure.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and client-facing communication skills.
