Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Material Handler to support Shipping, Receiving, and Stockroom operations in a cross-trained capacity. This role is responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, distribution, and shipment of materials, supplies, and equipment in a low-volume, high-complexity electronics environment.

The ideal candidate will maintain extremely high inventory accuracy, ensure proper SAP transactions, and support internal departments including Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Global Trade Compliance.

This role requires the ability to be on your feet for approximately 80% of the day and lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

Shipping, Receiving & Inventory Control

  • Receive, count, label, issue, transfer, and verify stock materials

  • Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy, including part numbers and revision control

  • Complete PO and RMA processing in SAP

  • Process sales orders, service orders, and miscellaneous shipments

  • Coordinate with carriers including Fed Ex, UPS, freight forwarders, and freight companies

ERP Transactions & Documentation

  • Accurately transact materials within SAP ERP system

  • Pull materials for Production, Service, and Engineering work orders

  • Enter material router transactions, Kanban transactions, and stock transfers

  • Maintain ERP master data accuracy

Inventory Analysis & Troubleshooting

  • Troubleshoot moderately complex issues including:

    • Missing materials

    • Inventory discrepancies

    • Receiving and shipment variances

  • Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions

  • Conduct cycle counts and periodic inventory audits

  • Work closely with Purchasing, Planning, and Quality on discrepant materials

Cross-Functional Support

  • Support engineering projects and cost center material movements

  • Assist internal departments with SAP and Excel-based material analysis

  • Coordinate with Global Trade Compliance and Traffic teams on shipments

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in Warehousing, Shipping, or Receiving

  • Experience in a low-volume, high-complexity electronics environment preferred

  • Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (SAP highly preferred)

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with SAP transactions and material movement processes

  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, SharePoint)

  • Experience navigating multiple business systems and browsers

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Comfortable being on feet approximately 80% of the workday

  • Ability to move materials safely on/off trucks or skids

Soft Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

  • Ability to research and resolve moderately complex issues

  • Professional communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-service environment

  • Ability to work extended hours if required

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required. Relevant supply chain or warehouse training is a plus.
