Position involves interpreting policies, processing applications, determining and re‑determining Adult Medicaid eligibility for the aged, blind and disabled citizens within structured time frames. Individual will perform a variety of complex tasks and functions in a paperless system. Individual is responsible for the resolution of multifaceted problems that can potentially affect different entities. Individual is the primary contact for applicants, medical institutions and insurance agencies for case resolution and must explain and interpret rules, regulations and procedures.
Individual must work under pressure, handle multiple tasks, remain knowledgeable while staying abreast of ongoing Medicaid policy changes. Considerable knowledge of NC FAST and Social Service programs, specifically Adult Medicaid.

Must possess and be able to demonstrate intermediate computer skills. Must possess the stamina to assimilate, evaluate, engage and apply knowledge. Applicant must have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
Two years of experience as an Income Maintenance
Caseworker; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
PREFERENCESPrefer applicants with at least two years of Income Maintenance Caseworker experience, applicants with job related experience in a Department of Social Services; job related experience in general; and persons with good mathematical and reasoning skills.
