The In-Field Sales Development Representative serves as the first point of contact for restaurant partners, representing Client in local markets. This role focuses on face-to-face engagement with independent and regional restaurants to educate them on Client’s value proposition and secure qualified meetings for Outside Account Executives. The position is highly field-oriented and performance-driven, ideal for candidates who thrive in in-person selling environments and are motivated by measurable results and growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:- Visit a high volume of restaurant prospects within an assigned territory to introduce Client and book qualified meetings
- Identify owners or key decision‑makers and build rapport quickly through short, in-person conversations
- Clearly articulate how Client helps restaurants grow orders, reach new customers, and improve operations
- Log all visits, conversations, and outcomes accurately in Salesforce and other sales tools
- Collaborate closely with Outside Account Executives to align on target accounts and follow-up strategies
- Plan and manage daily routes to maximize productivity and meeting conversions
- Follow up with merchants via phone, text, and email to confirm meetings and maintain engagement
- Meet and exceed weekly and monthly performance targets for meetings set, meetings held, and revenue impact
- Collect and share merchant feedback to improve sales messaging and product offerings
- Strong interpersonal and face-to-face communication skills
- Resilience and persistence in a high-rejection, high-activity sales environment
- Ability to work independently while managing time, territory, and follow-ups effectively
- Goal-oriented mindset with motivation driven by performance-based targets
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills
- Coachable attitude with openness to feedback and continuous improvement
Skills:
- Experience using CRM or sales engagement tools such as Salesforce or Outreach
- Background in restaurant, food & beverage, hospitality, retail, or local business environments
1+ year of experience in outbound sales, field marketing, canvassing, or other customer-facing roles involving new business generation
