More About Our Team
Join Wilson Medical Center's Emergency Department, which consists of 26 treatment areas: 20 beds in the main ED, a 6‑bay Fast Track area and a vertical flow space. With a nurse‑to‑patient ratio of 1:4, our diverse staff includes RNs, LPNs, CNAs and Unit Secretaries whose goal is to create a collaborative environment to deliver exceptional care. We are a Certified Chest Pain and Primary Stroke Center with an average daily census of 120 patients, offering the opportunity to contribute to high‑quality emergency medical care in a fast‑paced environment.
HowYou'll Contribute
A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:
- Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
- Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
- Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
- Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
- Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
- Conducts timely and accurate QI assessments

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
- Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
- TNCC, NRP, ENPC, CEN preferred.
- One year of experience preferred.
