RN-Emergency-Nights -

Under the general supervision of the Manager, Nursing Services, and according to established policies and procedures, coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching, acts as a patient/family advocate, and works with other nursing and ancillary personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. Work is of a very confidential nature. Performs other duties of the department as required.

Responsibilities are described in the overview above and include coordinating nursing care, patient/family teaching, advocacy, and collaboration with nursing and ancillary staff to maintain professional nursing standards. All duties are performed under the policies of the department.

• Graduation from a Nursing Education program and current NC or multistate RN licensure required.
• The employee must have the ability to understand, communicate and react effectively to the unique needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
• CPR certification required and provided.
