The schedule for this job will be mainly 1 st shift, 7am to 3:30pm, Mon thru Fri. On occasion, you will need to work a 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am shift. You will also work some weekends

The Utility Operator will work in multiple departments, including but not limited Flour Milling, Flour Blending and Loadout and Wheat Receiving. They will also perform some preventative and light maintenance as needed.
The primary duties in Flour Milling will include setting up, monitoring and adjusting milling equipment to ensure maximum yield while also hitting production goals. Other duties will include, but are not limited to the maintenance of milling equipment.
The primary duties in Blending and Loadout will be transferring flour from the mill to the load out area. This will include collecting samples for the lab to analyze, completing all necessary paperwork, sealing all hatches, hoses and transfers points and performing regular cleaning and maintenance on the equipment used.
The primary duties in Wheat Receiving will include receiving bulk wheat from trucks and railcars and moving via conveyor belts to the appropriate bin as well as doing some prep work on the wheat before is transferred to the mill.
As with most jobs at a flour mill, housekeeping will be an ongoing duty for this position.
Requirements to be successful in this position:- High school diploma or GED
- Reliable transportation
- For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
- Available to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed
- Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
- Able to pass a criminal background check
- This job can be physically strenuous
- You will be expected to be able to work in tight and confined spaces
- You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more
- You will be required to wear PPE
