Operations Manager, Program / Project Manager
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Berrimah location, with infrequent travel to regional locations
- Salary band of $115,000 – $125,000 + fully maintained company vehicle
Reporting to the Territory Manager, the NT Operations Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of security services across a blue‑chip customer base. The role ensures service delivery meets contractual obligations and customer expectations, with a strong focus on the safety and well‑being of our people.
Acting as a key communication link between the Operations Team, customers, and frontline security personnel, the role is guided by Wilson Security’s Vision and Values and supports the delivery of the wider business strategy.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Contract Performance- Oversee site performance to ensure contractual, service delivery, and budgetary requirements are met
- Conduct regular contract reviews, develop action plans, and recommend service improvements
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers in relation to issue resolution and continuous improvement
- Manage costs, invoicing, and rate structure changes, identifying and resolving anomalies
- Facilitate regular meetings with customers and internal stakeholders to review and enhance contract outcomes
- Deliver services within agreed budgetary time frames, with accountability for P&L performance
- Identify budget variances and implement appropriate cost controls and resource adjustments
- Monitor operational performance, compliance, and absenteeism in line with company policies
- Provide accurate and timely reporting and analysis on contract performance
- Lead, mentor, and support staff to drive engagement, performance, and retention
- Delegate responsibilities effectively and manage performance, conflict, and disciplinary matters
- Ensure completion of mandatory training requirements and address non‑compliance promptly
- Optimise staffing levels to meet contractual requirements while minimising overtime
- Recruit, train, and maintain a relief pool to manage workforce fluctuations
- Develop succession plans to ensure continuity of operations
- Enforce safe work practices and ensure compliance with WHS legislation and company policies
- Conduct risk assessments, investigate incidents, and ensure timely reporting and case closure
- Promote a proactive, safety‑focused culture across all operations
- Model Wilson Security’s values and support ongoing team development
- Identify training needs and continuous improvement opportunities
- Ensure compliance with all policies and promptly report risks
- Undertake additional duties as directed by management
- Experience managing multi‑site operations within the security industry
- Strong understanding of cost control, resource management, and operational delivery
- Proven leadership capability with strong customer relationship management skills
- Demonstrated ability to provide clear direction to staff at all levels
- Strong time management and decision‑making skills in complex, multi‑tasking environments
- Advanced computer literacy, particularly in Excel and MS Word
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry awards, EBAs, and WHS, IR, and EEO legislation
- Experience fostering inclusive workplaces across diverse cultural and moral perspectives
- Tertiary qualification in business, commerce, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in client or account management
- Current Northern Territory Security Licence (Unarmed Security Officer & Crowd Controller) or willingness to obtain
- Current Northern Territory Motor Car Licence
