About the role

As a Material Planner you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate supply of raw materials, components, and packaging required to support production schedules. This role coordinates with Procurement, Production, Warehouse, and Suppliers to balance inventory levels, minimize cost, and maintain uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

Your responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain material requirement plans (MRP) aligned with the production schedule.
  • Review MRP signals and adjust purchase or transfer orders to ensure adequate material availability.
  • Analyze demand fluctuations and adjust planning parameters as needed (lead time, safety stock, min/max levels).
  • Monitor inventory levels to avoid stockouts, excess, and obsolescence.
  • Perform root-cause analysis on inventory discrepancies or service failures.
  • Support cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives.
  • Communicate forecasts, order confirmations, and delivery requirements to suppliers.
  • Resolve issues related to delivery delays, quality concerns, or quantity discrepancies.
  • Track supplier performance and escalate risks impacting supply continuity.
  • Maintain accurate planning data in SAP or other ERP systems (lead times, lot sizes, BOM changes).
  • Generate material status reports and KPIs (service level, inventory turns, slow-moving stock).
  • Support system transitions or master data updates as required.

The experience we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, operations, or related field, or equivalent experience

2–5 years in material planning, production planning, or supply chain operations

Proficiency in Excel, data analysis tools, and strong computer skills (spreadsheets, charts, graphs)

Solid working knowledge of MRP systems (Kinaxis preferred) and strong SAP expertise in production planning and inventory management

Experience in FMCG and/or pharmaceutical or related industries

Background in production planning, component planning, vendor scheduling, line scheduling, and capacity management

Understanding of pharmaceutical document systems

Strong planning, prioritization, organization, and attention to detail

Ability to make data‑driven decisions and adapt in fast‑paced environments

Strong communication, influencing ability, and cross‑functional collaboration

Skilled in supplier relationship management and building constructive business relationships

Decisive, self‑motivated, and able to work independently
