our client is currently seeking a qualified configuration and deskside deployment technician to join their team onsite in wilson, nc and provide end-user support. This role will support depot operations including laptop imaging, hardware handling, inventory control, and order fulfillment. This is an entry-level role with on-the-job training provided. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with technology and physical equipment.
This role will work staggered shifts, with the possibility of ot.
this is a contract position through till the end of the year.
duties and responsibilities- image and configure laptops according to company standards
- prepare and ship laptops and equipment on demand
- receive, inspect, and process incoming and outgoing it hardware
- lift, move, and stage equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
- perform basic hardware checks on enterprise equipment
- maintain accurate documentation of assets, imaging status, and shipments
- keep inventory and staging areas organized
- follow operational procedures and safety guidelines
- basic understanding of computer hardware (dell enterprise knowledge preferred)
- strong attention to detail and administrative accuracy
- ability to follow documented processes
- reliable attendance and punctuality
- ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- experience with servicenow (a plus, not required)
- previous warehouse, shipping, or it support experience preferred
the rate for this position is between $15.75 - $21.00 per hour
, unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
