We seek an experienced Technical Director with Mainframe Security expertise to oversee functions across our mainframes, including identity management, certificate administration, and encryption controls. This role is critical in ensuring secure and compliant access, requiring aיף מלא understanding of the complete user access lifecycle, privileged access administration歓 risk management.

The manager will lead portions of the identity management and access control functions as outlined by industry best practices such as NIST and CRI, and will collaborate with IAS and other cybersecurity, infrastructure, application development, risk, and audit teams.

  • Own and resolve challenges across Truist.
  • Coach, develop, and reward high performers.
  • Establish and cascade a predictable schedule for team engagement.
  • Continuously improve processes and outcomes.
  • Manage a team of 5–10 direct reports and contract workers.
  • Perform hiring,كين coaching, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
  • Oversee strategic and operational plans, developing cross‑departmental business cases.
  • Balance 40% technical and 60% functional knowledge to deliver results.
  • Design and implement the identity management and access control strategy on time and within budget.
  • Maintain SLAs and workforce strategy blend (30% onshore, 70% offshore).
  • Improve user experience and reduce turnover of critical resources.
  • Engage stakeholders proactively to adopt solutions and manage expectations.
  • Request, provisioning, deprovisioning, normal access, privileged access, attestations, identity governance administration, identity management platforms, production support, authentication, authorization, and cloud.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 15 years’ experience in identity and access management control functions.
  • 10 years’ experience as a manager.
  • 10 years’ experience in operational planning and execution.
  • drwy 10 years’ experience managing simple and structured work.
  • 10 years’ experience managing complex and unstructured work.
  • 10 years’ experience leading diverse teams.
  • 5+ years’ expert knowledge of specific IAM areas (e.g., Active Directory, RACF, Idaptive, Cyber Ark, PRIVA, Oracle OIM).
  • 10 years’ basic functional knowledge of broader IAM capabilities.
  • 10 years’ intermediate soft‑skill and interpersonal communication experience.
  • 10 years’ technical experience in a top‑10 U.S. bank.
  • 10 years’ collaboration with infrastructure, application development, risk management, technology risk, audit, and external помещения auditors.
  • 10 years’ management of regulatory remediation and internal findings.
  • 10 years’ strategic planning applying NIST and FFIEC best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree.
  • Expertise in RACF and mainframe security with deep knowledge of data‑set protection and digital identity controls.
  • Hands‑on experience managing user access lifecycle, privilege management, and RBAC.
  • Proficiency in certificate management, PKI, SSL/TLS, and encryption technologies.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks for financial institutions.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in waterfall and agile project management methodologies.
  • Experience managing contracts for IAM managed service providers.
  • CISSP certification.
