Customs Brokerage Assistant

• Work on customs clearance of cargo, aiming to serve the customer within the expected deadline;
• Monitor the approval of LI with the consenting bodies (Anvisa, Ibama, ANP and Ministry of the Army);
• Preparation of DI;
• DU-E registration;
• Act as customer service, aiming to keep the customer informed about the status of cargo release;
• Maintain standard deadlines and costs for carrying out customs clearances;
• Represent the company before customs authorities when requested, with the aim of facilitating the customs clearance process;
• Follow-up reports;
• Monitoring the clearance of goods;
• Issuance of KPIs – CUSTOMER/SUPPLIER;
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, ensuring quality and safety in internal processes.

Job may require extended sitting or standing, use of standard office equipment.

• Ability to perform research and make determinations in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment;
• Sense of urgency and attention to detail are critical;
• Perform data entry and draft opinion papers;
• Maintain an organized work environment;
• Effectively communicating import requirements to clients;
• Clock hours in time management software for consulting engagements;
• Provide support to consulting team members;
• Keep informed of latest news and developments impacting trade and regulatory compliance;
• Experienced in using MS Word, Excel, Outlook;
• Strong organizational and time management skills;
• Strong proficiency in classifying goods under the HTS;
• HTS classification strength with the oil and gas industry desirables;
• Be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment;
