Waters is looking for a Mechanical Multi Skilled Systems Fitter to work within a LEAN focused New Product Operations Group at our pioneering facility in Wilmslow. The role covers all stages of a product’s life cycle from early engineering units through alpha, beta, pre‑production and production phases. This diverse and impactful team offers opportunities to develop and network with cross‑functioning teams.

• Precise assembly of Mass Spectrometers and associated Sub‑Assemblies, supporting both mainstream production and all stages of New Product Introduction.
• Integration of mechanical, electrical and vacuum systems of sophisticated assemblies to exacting engineering standards, ensuring build quality and consistency are in line with all manufacturing processes.
• Working within a collaborative and lean manufacturing environment, contributing to the delivery of high‑performance scientific instrumentation through technical excellence, attention to detail and continuous improvement.

• Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship.
• NVQ level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
• Excellent fault diagnosis skills.
• Requirement for a Basic Criminal Record Check (DBS).
