Join to apply for the Store Counter Sales role at NAPA Auto Parts.
We are more than just a Parts Store and are looking for talented individuals to join our NAPA family! As a NAPA Counter Sales associate, you are the "face of the retail store" and the go-to person for customers seeking automotive parts and advice. No need to be able to tear down motors (though it’s a plus), but a background in automotive parts is preferred.
What You Will Be Doing
- Providing auto parts answers and solutions to retail and wholesale customers in person and over the phone.
- Assisting team members with customer questions using your parts knowledge.
- Delivering outstanding customer service and creating a positive shopping experience.
- Engaging with customers in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Using technology such as computers, cash registers, and catalogs.

- Enjoy helping customers with auto parts and questions.
- Have automotive experience or enjoy tinkering and repairing vehicles.
- Are willing to learn automotive knowledge if you lack experience.
- Want to grow your career in a team-oriented environment.
What You’ll Need
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn.
- High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade school is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail setting.
- Strong listening skills and empathy for customers.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Passion or background in automotive, heavy equipment, farm, marine, or dealership industries.
- Experience with cataloging and inventory management systems.
- Customer-centric attitude.
- ASE Certifications (a plus but not required).
