Overview
This position is 6:15 AM to 6:45 PM on a rotating 2/2/3 schedule.
Pay Rate: $21.50 an hour.
Responsibilities- Must have prior Plastic Extrusion Experience.
- Contributes to accident-free operations and compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements and regulations.
- Assists with set-ups, start-ups, color changes, die changes and shut downs on the equipment and/or performs those functions independently on limited production equipment.
- Learns and practices starting, operating, maintaining and shutting down extrusion and down-line equipment.
- Monitors general adjustments to extrusion line and communicates larger problems to skilled operators and leadership.
- Completes daily duties in accordance with workplace organization and efficiency methodologies.
- Learns, accurately completes and records quality checks, color checks, and color set-point controls within the specified guidelines.
- Responsible for detailed completion of production operator reports.
- Learns and demonstrates identification of defects and completion of work orders for repair.
- Learns and practices adherence to the Bills of Process (BOP) and Critical to Quality (CTQ) standards.
- Assists in packaging of product as needed.
- Ensures that equipment operates to specifications.
- Ensures proper materials are available for daily production according to production specifications.
- Assists in training Production Assistants to perform their duties.
- Ensures housekeeping duties are performed according to the required standards.
- Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management.
- Experience:
Experience in similar role preferred. - Other Requirements:
Meet qualification and certification requirements established by the company training programs. - Demonstrated understanding of how process equipment works; strong decision making, analytical skills and proven ability to work cross-functionally; good troubleshooting and problem solving abilities.
- Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment.
High School Diploma or GED, Preferred.
