Overview
The ARFF Specialist will ensure that emergency equipment is continuously maintained in a high state of readiness; provide currency training as necessary; provides rapid response to emergencies; provides first aid to ARFF victims as necessary. Performs other duties as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications- HS Diploma or GED
- Posses a valid drivers license and be able to pass an MVR background check
- Certified EMR
- Certified Ohio Firefighter II
- Ability to pass a Medical Pulmonary Function test and annual OSHA physical
- Ability to bend, stoop and manipulate tools and tight spaces
- Work in adverse outdoor weather conditions
- Wear respirator safety equipment as indicated
- Lift objects weighing up to 65 pounds
- Posses excellent communication skills
- Perform work at heights
- 1 year experience responding to medical emergencies
- Experience in the testing and inspection of building sprinkler and alarm systems per NFPA standards
- Able to complete 40 hour ARFF course if not certified
