With minimal direct supervision, the candidate will operate a concrete mixer truck on public streets and highways as well as construction sites to transport and deliver concrete material. Candidates must have a valid CDL Class A or B North Carolina Driver's license and a good driving record.

• Climb on, over and around a company vehicle to perform pre/post trip vehicle inspections and secure loads.
• Climb up and down concrete mixer trucks using a ladder, performing repetitive motions to inspect concrete mix consistencies and conduct quality control checks.
• Lift truck hoods, products or equipment and tools necessary for inspection, repair, loading and unloading of trucks.
• Support and assist shop personnel with required repairs.
• Wash trucks and clean truck cabs.
• Operate the vehicle safely, lawfully and courteously.
• Keep vehicle and cab interior and exterior clean; keep mixer drums free from concrete buildup, stones, debris and loose objects.
• Read road signs and follow written or verbal directions.
• Maintain contact with managers by radio or GPS to inform them of delays, problems, or unusual situations.
• Work long, flexible hours as demanded by customer, including nights, weekends and long outdoor periods throughout the year.
• Maintain a clean, neat, professional appearance when reporting to work and throughout the day.
• Maintain and keep operator logs and other documentation required by regulations or the company.
• Perform all work while complying with company policies and procedures.
• Execute any additional duties as directed by the supervisor or manager.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Preferably a minimum of one (1) year of experience driving a commercial vehicle, although qualified applicants will be trained.
• Current medical examination certificate with card.

• Must have a good work ethic, be dependable, on-time, and have a regular and predictable attendance.
• Job may require various hours including nights and weekends.
• Must be willing and able to work overtime if needed.
• Dependable transportation.

Heavy physical effort required including climbing, pulling and lifting or moving heavy weight materials or equipment (over 80 pounds). A position‑specific Physical Demands sheet may be attached to provide more details.

Ability to continuously work around noise, dust, heat, cold, oil, and heavy equipment. Ability to exchange ideas quickly and clearly and to receive and evaluate detailed information and instructions.
