Armed Driver Guard

Loomis’ armored transportation, cash management centers and vaults serve financial institutions and retail businesses across the United States. With nearly 200 branches, the company places a strong emphasis on employee growth; many senior leaders began their careers as drivers, guards or tellers. We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as an Armed Driver/Guard.

Hourly: $19.00

• Drive automatic armored vehicles and other vehicles on designated routes servicing customer locations
• Service ATMs and Smart Safes
• Deliver customer change orders and pick up deposits at customer stops
• Load and unload vehicle cargo, including multiple bags and boxes of coins
• Count items, record, and sign for cargo items
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

• At least 21 years of age
• At least a 3‑year clean driving record
• Ability to obtain a Medical Examiner Certificate via a US Department of Transportation approved medical exam before start date
• A valid firearms permit or willingness to meet applicable state firearms requirements
• Loomis will provide training, security and firearms qualification, licensing and permitting

• Full‑time schedule, average 40 to 50 hours per week, with a minimum of 5 days during any 6‑day period; occasional weekend work
• Approximately 90–95% of work performed in an air‑conditioned vehicle compartment (front and rear)

• Human Performance Evaluation (HPE) required – successful completion of the following lift and transfer tests:
  • Vertical lift:
    25 lbs from 10 in. to 66 in. (1 time)
    18 lbs from 1 in. to 44 in. and horizontally transfer 15 ft (4 times)
    18 lbs from 10 in. to 36 in. and horizontally transfer 300 ft (1 time)
    50 lbs from 10 in. to 36 in. and horizontally transfer 2 ft (2 times)
  • Push‑pull: horizontally transfer 47 lbs of force on a sled for 1 ft (2 times)
  • Repetitive coupling: squeeze Jamar Hand Dynamometer with >30 lbs force on both hands (4 times)
  • Climb: ascend/descend steps of 16, 21 and 24 inches from the floor (10 times)
