Perform work by applying methods and general procedures of the carpentry and painting trade. Utilize techniques, tools, materials and equipment appropriate to the trade. This position is responsible for pressure washing, scraping hand rails, painting, light carpentry and any other general maintenance duties assigned by the supervisor.
This position has been designated as mandatory personnel for the University and may be required to report to work during adverse weather conditions even if the University operates on an alternate schedule. The position may assist in the removal of snow, ice or debris as required.
Minimum and Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience- Minimum
Education and Experience Requirements: - Preferred Education, Knowledge,
Skills & Experience:
Knowledge of basic maintenance machinery and equipment will be helpful to perform tasks.

Valid NC Drivers License

Please note, this is a temporary position. The length of the assignment will be based on department need with the possibility of continuation. Temporary assignments cannot exceed 11 consecutive months without a full 31-day break from employment. Temporary employees are not considered permanent state employees and do not earn leave.
