• High School Diploma or GED (Required)

• Healthcare Public Safety or Police experience (Preferred) 📜 Licensure & Certification (Required)
  • IAHSS Basic and/or Advanced Training Certification within 6 months of hire
  • Armed Security Officer Registration Permit through the North Carolina Private Protective Services Board within 12 months of hire
  • NC state-approved restrictive intervention curriculum (facility-specific) within 3 months of hire
  • BLS/CPR certification within 90 days of hire
  🛠️ Required Skills & Competencies
  • Must qualify for and maintain Armed Security Officer Registration Permit per annual standards
  • Public contact/customer service experience
  • Completion of all required organizational, field, and in-service training
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Successful completion of competency testing and skills validation
  • Strong radio and telephone communication skills
  • Clear, accurate, and detailed report writing ability
  • No criminal record
  • Valid driver’s license in state of residence
  • Compliance with vehicle use policies
  • Immediate reporting of any motor vehicle or criminal charges
