Retail Sales, Customer Service Rep
Overview
We are currently looking for the right Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate to join our team at pawn store locations nationwide. The role involves customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business, processing sales, loans, and other transactions, and engaging with customers to provide positive experiences. The position offers hourly pay plus commission based on productivity.
Responsibilities- Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non-management open/close procedures.
- Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
- Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
- Handles cash and negotiable items per policies and procedures.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Effectively communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates with coworkers and managers; collaborates to create a positive customer experience.
- Completes required training and other duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to stand, walk, and perform duties for extended periods; flexibility for a retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Cash handling experience is preferred.
- Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and office equipment.
- Base pay range: $15.00/hr - $19.00/hr; commission plan available with potential to earn 2-8% based on personal performance; earnings depend on location and experience.

- Unlimited commission potential above base rate.
- Vacation: one week after six months; additional week after one year; two weeks on each anniversary thereafter; 120 hours after five years (adjusted for state/local requirements).
- Sick/PERSONAL: 8 hours after six months; 16 hours each anniversary thereafter (years 2-5); 24 hours after five years.

Note:
Pay rates comply with local minimum wage requirements. Earned Wage Access is a service provided by Net Spend; 401K program is available to employees 21+, and the maximum base pay rate is based on position-related factors.
