Overview
The Sound Cat was a vision that came to life in 2006. The mission to provide top-quality feline healthcare founded The Sound Cat Veterinary Hospital. Beyond the state-of-the-art medical facility, the Sound Cat team provides various feline-only wellness, surgical, diagnostic, and specialty veterinary services.
Accreditation and FacilitiesWe are AAHA accredited. Our hospital is spacious, well maintained, and equipped to provide patients with the best wellness, diagnostic, and surgical care. Equipment includes:
- Digital radiology
- Ultrasound
- Full in-house laboratory
- Surgical suite with laser equipment, anesthesia system, and heating system
- Dental suite
- Tonopen and Digital Retinal Imaging
- Endoscopy and Rhinoscopy
Extern with us through Heartland Veterinary Partners Externship Program, which provides veterinary students with hands-on experience and mentorship to help them become practice-ready by their first day in practice. Externships are typically 2 weeks long, and Heartland may cover lodging costs if needed. Length of externship is flexible, and we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.
Requirements / QualificationsEligibility
- Must be currently enrolled in an AVMA Accredited Veterinary School
- Must be able to provide student PLIT
