Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical/Oncology – North Carolina

Start Date: March 2, 2026
Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend required, 13-26 week assignments available

Highlights:

• Medical-Surgical unit with Oncology patient population requiring chemotherapy/biotherapy administration
• Target nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 with daily census of 42 beds
• Epic EMR system with 24-hour orientation provided
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response, pharmacy, and lift teams
• Experience with complex patient diagnoses including sepsis, AKI, diabetic management, and cancer care
• Opportunity to work with ports, central lines, PICC lines, wound vacs, and blood product administration

Requirements:

• Current North Carolina or Compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience in an inpatient setting
• Current BLS certification required
• Oncology Nursing Certification (ONS/ONCC) required – must be able to administer chemotherapy
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Experience with Med/Surg skills including colostomy care, accessing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draws, PICC line management, wound care/wound vac, and isolation precautions
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Flexibility to float to similar units and alternate care locations as needed
• Willingness to participate in storm team/hurricane team assignments and respond during catastrophic events if required
