Overview
The Registered Nurse (PRN) functions as a member of a clinical team in the provision of health care in a fast-paced college health center. Responsibilities include obtaining pertinent medical information during check-in; educating patients; providing care and treatment to patients consistent with nursing practice and theory; and administering vaccinations and performing basic laboratory tests. The nurse must demonstrate the ability to accurately assess a patient s medical problem and may assume a lead role in the clinic when necessary.
Minimum Education and Experience- Graduate of a state accredited school of professional nursing
- Must be licensed to practice as a registered nurse in North Carolina, by the N.C. Board of Nursing
- Current CPR certification
- Must be licensed to practice as a registered nurse in North Carolina, by the N.C. Board of Nursing
- Current CPR certification
Work Hours: As Needed Between 8am - 5pm
Work Days: As Needed Between Monday - Friday
Hours Per Week: PRN

Anticipated Hiring Range: $25 / hour
Special Instructions to ApplicantsPlease note, this is a temporary position. The length of the assignment will be based on department need with the possibility of continuation. Temporary assignments cannot exceed 11 consecutive months without a full 31-day break from employment. Employees in temporary positions are not considered permanent state employees and do not earn leave. Temporary employees are subject to the Affordable Care Act guidelines.
