What You’ll Do
  • Demonstrate strong assessment skills to uncover the patient’s story, integrating subjective and objective data, physical and psychosocial factors, personal preferences, and learning needs. Utilize ongoing data interpretation to recognize patterns and determine both immediate and future care needs.
  • Collaborate with patients and their support systems to identify priorities and incorporate preferences into individualized care plans. Engage the interdisciplinary team, identify resources, set realistic goals, and adjust plans as patient needs evolve.
  • Act as a patient advocate while implementing the interdisciplinary care plan. Collaborate with the healthcare team to educate patients, prioritize interventions, and ensure timely completion of nursing and medical treatments.
  • Administer and evaluate medication therapies, provide routine nursing care (IVs, dressing changes, etc.), and respond effectively in critical situations such as CPR. Safely transfer and transport patients and handle necessary equipment as required.
  • Continuously assess patient progress toward goals and outcomes, seeking input from patients and their support systems. Modify the plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to achieve desired results.
  • Communicate the individualized plan of care and patient progress to the entire care team, including the patient and their support system. Utilize clear communication tools such as SBARQ and ensure timely documentation.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately to ensure safe, effective care while considering task complexity, staff competence, and patient response. Hold self and others accountable for delivering quality, patient‑centered care.
  • Demonstrate independence and professionalism in nursing practice according to state regulations, ANA standards, and the Nurse Practice Act. Engage in shared governance, process improvement, and ongoing professional development to enhance practice.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with team members and internal customers. Mentor others, provide constructive feedback, resolve conflicts appropriately, and respond positively to feedback.
What We’re Looking For
  • Education:

    Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; 4 Year / Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration:
    Current RN licensure in appropriate state required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
  • Experience:

    One year of acute nursing experience required.
  • Other requirements:
    If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired, or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a board‑approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. To be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
